Kondo uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate the platform, understand how partners engage with our listings, and improve your experience. This policy explains what cookies we use, why, and how you can control them.
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website when you visit it. They allow websites to remember your actions and preferences over time, so you don't need to re-enter information on each visit. Cookies can be set by the site you are visiting ("first-party cookies") or by third parties whose services are embedded on the site.
Kondo also uses similar technologies such as web beacons, pixels, and local storage for equivalent purposes. References to "cookies" in this policy encompass these technologies.
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set duration or until you delete them. The table in section three lists the duration for each cookie we set.
We group our cookies into four categories. Toggle optional categories on or off below. Essential cookies cannot be disabled as they are required to operate the platform.
Required for the platform to function correctly. These enable secure login, session management, fraud prevention, and load balancing. They cannot be turned off.
Help us understand how partners navigate the platform, which listings attract attention, where drop-offs occur, and how features are used. Data is aggregated and anonymous.
Remember your settings and choices such as your preferred property filters, saved searches, and display options so you get a consistent experience on return visits.
Allow us to show you relevant property partnership opportunities on other platforms, and measure the effectiveness of our communications. These are set by trusted advertising partners.
Certain features on Kondo involve third-party service providers who may set their own cookies. These providers have their own privacy and cookie policies, which govern how they use data collected through their cookies.
Third-party providers we currently use include Google Analytics for aggregate usage statistics; Hotjar for anonymised session analytics; Meta Pixel for advertising measurement; and LinkedIn Insight for B2B campaign analytics. We do not control cookies set by these providers beyond our ability to include or exclude their scripts. (This can be changed)
Some third-party providers process data outside Nigeria. Where this occurs, we take steps to ensure appropriate contractual protections are in place in accordance with applicable data protection law.
In addition to using the preference toggles above, you can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block all cookies, accept only first-party cookies, or delete cookies at any time. The steps to do this vary by browser — consult your browser's help pages for guidance.
Please note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging into Kondo and using core platform features. Blocking analytics or preference cookies will not affect your ability to browse listings or apply to partnerships, but some aspects of the experience may be less tailored.
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) and associated regulations, you have the right to access personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, withdraw consent for optional cookie categories, and lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
Withdrawing consent for optional cookies does not affect the lawfulness of any processing that took place before withdrawal. To exercise your rights, contact us using the details below.
